Regardless of race, religion, sex, nationality or lifestyle, most humans seek acceptance by others and society. The dance performance Aside addresses this human need for acceptance, self-expression, and relationship between people. Continuous, sensitive movement of a duo combined with harsh electronic music illustrates fragile attempts to create relationships. The audience is immersed in the intimate atmosphere through synced breathing to the rhythm of the performers. The dancers enchant the audience with their impeccable technique and organic connection.
For this dance performance, promising dancers and choreographers Niels Claes (BE) and Gintarė Marija Ščavinskaitė (LT) were awarded “The Best Dancers” in Lithuania 2017.
